Well, they work but just not the way I thought they would. I was just surprised by the discovery. When I used them in builds, I would just assume I put them backward in the first place, and technically, it's true. Now I know better.

Going by the leads would be fine... but what with the plates ? Here are 2 red on the left and a green on the right. All have flat side on the left side... so they should all have the flat for the cathode, but the red ones really are reversed. I might just have to test them again.

Lately, I would just pick one and feel the flat surface using my fingers ... had not used the red ones in builds lately.

Did you check continuity on both position on your footswitch ?

Measure everything, use shapes the size of your knobs (or knobs from a library) when making your design, you hide them in your final print. Make a few test prints on paper if needed to ensure right alignment.

I use cheap post service and never had any bad surprise. Now I sometime use the "all duty paid" option if it’s not much more. If you want drilled, painted and printed enclosures it can take long.

Drilled and filed by hand... I had a white rectangle to guide me, printed exactly where the switches would fit.

Are your pots covered so they do not make contact with your board ? Not relevant, but remove the tab on your pots or they will not sit flush.
