Resistor color bands (Daredevil Real Cool Fuzz)

I was looking around at different Fuzzrite clones and came across the Daredevil Real Cool Fuzz. It sounds great and seems close to original (Si/Ge aside). I'm confused about the resistors though. In a pic I found, four of the resisitors look to be 47k. On the PPCB schematic those resistors would...

    Equilux

It sounded like @Robert went through and checked all of the ones he's selling. If that's the case and you bought them through PedalPCB, they've been vetted. I have no idea if the same applies to switches from other vendors.

    Equilux

That's an awesome idea! What about using an internal DIP switch(es) to retain some flexibility? An added bonus of dropping the rotary switches is that it sounds like they're worth dropping based on this thread. Thanks!

    Equilux

I managed to finish this up on Friday, but didn't post it do to a lack of time and being convinced something was wrong with with the high cut. Turns it out it is working perfectly, I just have no idea how to use an EQ pedal . Once I tried out the suggested settings on Spaceman site, it...

    Sushibox blackeye

Amazing pedal! I like those floating LEDs. Completely random question: what is that in the background? I see a governor, but what is it attached to?

    Luna Vibe (electrovibe)

I'll give that a try. Thanks!

    Luna Vibe (electrovibe)

Finally finished it this afternoon. I've had it up and running for a while, but it's been sitting on the shelf as I had get a deeper enclosure for it. The lamp was too tall for the 1590BB I had ready and painted. It ended up being a blessing in disguise as the paint job didn't match the...

Looks beautiful! I’m excited to get to work on mine. Where in your signal chain do you have it placed?

    Ferrite Bead for Equilux

I'm gathering parts for the Equilux and realized that I have a pack of ferrite beads from Electronic Goldmine. I have no idea what possessed me to order them in the first place as this was before the Equilux came out. My sense is that they should work fine, but I want to check...

    Build report backlog

OK, two more to add. #5 - The Depths AKA Luna Vibe I had high hopes for this pedal based on some demo videos that I'd watched. In the end, I was mostly disappointed. The overall tone feels too brittle and grainy to me. Granted, it's partly my fault for wanting it to be a full blown Uni...

    Build report backlog

After posting my 2-in-1 Super Stevie+Red Herring build, I decided to take a peak in some of my older builds and was pleasantly surprised! They aren't perfect by any measure, but still not quite as messy as my memory had me believe. I'd say it's a testament to the great layouts by @PedalPCB and...

Super Stevie + Red Herring Build

Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've built a number of pedals. All but one has worked and I've been having a great time. I haven't posted any as most of them are pretty ugly on the inside, but this one is by far my cleanest build to date. I wanted something to get a solid SRV-esque tone -...

Super Stevie Overdrive sounds gated when Drive is above noon

    Awesome, thanks for the explanation!

Super Stevie Overdrive sounds gated when Drive is above noon

When dialed in low the distortion seems smooth, but above noon it gets gated and notes have a strange decay to them. I didn't think to record a soundclip before I started taking things apart to troubleshoot. The only problem that is standing out to me is R101 looks to be the incorrect value (is...
