    Old profile gone

Remember in the 90s when chat rooms were a thing? I knew a guy who used to start a room, then use multiple of his accounts to get the chat room active, hoping a woman would join, where then he could hit on them. Little did he know that the women were statistically likely to be guys just like...

Cornerstone Gladio Gut Shot - Authenticity?

Now that I compare the original (posted by Robert and on tgp) to some of the fakes here, what stands out is that the fakes have brand name at the bottom edge of the pcb. The OPs has a serial number (or something) there. But the originals are all blank there. Starting to be more suspicious.

Help me choose a bass compressor circuit...

I don't know which ones are good, but I built a bass player a Orange Squeezer and they didn't like that one. I forget why, but it's a simple one knobber and probably not tweakable to get the sound they wanted.

    Something like the Carbon Copy

Non-DIY for a simple pedal, I can't believe you even suggested this :p

    A few Sproing Deluxe questions

Yes, and either (just make sure it's not a super-bright--the red 5mms at tayda are, so I'd probably use 3mm)

    Something like the Carbon Copy

If your artist is ok with digital delays, then a pt2399 based delay is an easy choice. Of the pedalpcb offerings, I've tried Magnetron and Cataclysm. While I slightly liked the tone of the Cataclysm better, if modulation is a must-have then Magnetron is a no brainer. Does this person like...

    SOLVED Tayda RAT Oscillation

I'd keep it in. I don't think it hurts, and if you do come across a lm308 then you can drop it in. Hard to tell from your picture, but it looks like your opamp might be upside down. Hard to see any markings on the opamp from the photo, but I think can see the small dot on the outer side of...

    Golden Falk build

I'm not surprised you like these two, as IIRC the lagrange is very similar to the box of rock--it's like they started with that circuit then added a bunch of bells and whistles. Curious if they sound alike?--sometimes enough mods and even though the circuit started from the same place, can end...

Also, pictures of the tele would help... not in solving the problem but just in spreading cheer.

    Rewiring Tele (seeking advice)

It sounds like a good excuse to get new pickups. Any idea what you got in there? >9K for a neck seems pretty rare for teles unless its a stacked humbucker.

Son of Ben biased but sounds farty

I always thought this pedal sounded great with gain low, but kind of woofy/farty with the gain up. I had thought that maybe it was an issue with my pedal, but then after watching some high profile you-tubers demo the pedal, I concluded it actually sounds that way. My point is check if it's...

Good Gravy, These Ceramic Discs Are Garbage

Although I prefer MLCC when I have them, I see less selection of values than ceramic discs (at least at Tayda where I do most of my shopping), so still end up using quite a few ceramic disc capaciters. I tend to not worry about tolerances for several reasons: pedals aren't high precision...

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

If this is true, I feel pretty good about getting my order in--I was sitting on that order since november, and these threads about tarriffs finally got me nervous enough to act on it. I thought we no longer have a beef with every country, but who knows, it seems to be a fluid situation.

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

Another confirmation of order received with no tarriff (well under de minimis).

thoughts on using a 25w iron?

Are you about to purchase a 25W solder? If you are, I'd recommend spending a bit more to get a soldering station. There's at least one other thread here full of iron recommendations, with the Hakkos and Wellers being well respected. Their irons are usually around 65-70W and you'll have a much...
