That’s what I love about messing with circuits @HamishR - not to make them better but make them better for me. We all have such different tastes that knowing how to tweak a pedal for your amp or ear is so helpful.

Do you have any cold solder joints to the power filtering caps? C16 and 32. Can you upload pictures of the solder side and top side of the board.

I would suggest reflowing your solder joints and adding solder to some as they don’t look like optimal connections.

Nothing special to see here. Just a minimalist ChopShop. I’ve only had a short play through it after fiddling with the bias. It sounds great but it doesn’t have as much level as I thought it would.I haven’t built a pedal in the last 12 months so I’m just glad it fired up first time.

That UV print is hilarious and the pedal sounds fantastic! Love it!

@HamishR I think Thorpy is using the transformer as a pick up simulator to allow you to have this pedal not be first in the chain.

Your power supply can also be an issue FWIW.

That is a pull down resistor that try’s to stop popping sounds when switch is engaged.

Have you tried a small value cap (100pf) in parallel with the input pull down resistor?

I’d be happy to buy a PCB from you Paul. I have a build in mind for this!
