Harmonic Percolator - stripboard & steel mini enclosure

It is stainless! I was pushing my body weight into it. I bent the face while drilling, fortunately I was able to get it most of the way back.

Harmonic Percolator - stripboard & steel mini enclosure

I bought this enclosure from Missouri Electrical Box Company a while back, and wasn’t sure what to put in it. I have an old Dano with lipstick pickups, and in my mind a Harmonic Percolator seemed like the right type of grit for it. Nevermind the fact that I’ve never built or even played one...

SOLVED Stripboard Harmonic Percolator- dimed is below unity.

Solved. I had to twist the legs on Q1 and swap the Base and Collector.

SOLVED Stripboard Harmonic Percolator- dimed is below unity.

Hello. I have my first Harmonic Percolator that I whipped up last night. It sort of works. When it’s cranked, it’s about halfway below unity. When I switch to my hottest pickup and really dig in, it almost wants to get loud. It kind of makes me wonder if it’s misbiased or something. That, or...

    Pots with too short legs

Are you mounting the pots on the same side as your other components? That’s the only thing I can think of that would cause that issue. https://wiki.pedalpcb.com/wiki/General_Build_Instructions#Installation

Mach 1/ Blue Breaker combo stack

Very nice fit there, and I love the simplicity of the knob labeling.

    Recommend me a pedal

The Parasit Raygun Youth is fun and wild. There’s a stripboard layout for it. I made one with a three way switch instead of the rotary ( my first stripboard build). But between the Raygun and the Nutty Fuzz, I would choose the Nutty Fuzz.

    Recommend me a pedal

I feel like I have no choice here.

    Recommend me a pedal

One that surprised me that I use all the time now is the Nutty Fuzz. It’s basically just an Escobedo Ugly Face with an expression input. Simple Build, super fun.

    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

If you go with the intelligent relays, you can connect the control pads and it will behave that way. You could probably even add a toggle between the control pads connection to go between A/B to A+B https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/relaybypass/

    Cloudflare not allowing login

Imagine being the person that caused the feature file to double in size, making it too large to read and then it replicates across all nodes globally while everyone’s thinking it’s a DDOS attack.

    Emu Amp Sim - C101 - 220u - minimum voltage?

I was wondering if something like that might be the case- thanks!

    Emu Amp Sim - C101 - 220u - minimum voltage?

I tried to encapsulate it all in the title. All the 220uf caps I have on hand are either 10v, or these clown shoe 50v ones that I’m not sure I can fit. Or, alternatively- does it need to be 220?

    The Creamery aka DOD Milkbox

Your build report helped bump this up in my queue! I can definitely see it being used as an always on. It gives it a little body, tames out some of the brittle frequencies, smooths out the glassy tones yet remains bright. It doesn’t have that awkward release where it’s like your dynamics are...

    The Creamery aka DOD Milkbox

I like compressors on guitar. The pump, the thump. The squish. It’s been a sort-of side quest while exploring the wide world of gain devices. So far, I’ve built the Thumb Sucker, Closed Circuit Booster Limiter, Byrdhouse, and the Median. This build became practical after the THAT2159 became...

    Simulcast

If you never build it with the charge pump, could the electrolytic capacitors be lower than 35v?

Who makes a small Chorus or Flanger PCB?

There’s a Schutone designed M-117 that fits in a 1590A! Not sure if you can get your hands on one though. https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/mxr-m-117-flanger.26887/#post-345744

    Build Documents for Micro Buffer?

I think this will help. It’s a drill template for the microsplit. You just need to put the one hole for the TRS cable on the other side for the DC jack, and possibly drill it a little smaller if you like. https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/drill/1590A-MicroSplit-Passive.pdf

    Build Documents for Micro Buffer?

Dude. I’ll assume you’re not trolling for a second. Swelchy is one of the nice people here- he never picks on people. There’s a lot of nice people here. He was just giving a suggestion because it’s two three holes. You don’t have to take that as a suggestion, though I think it’s a good one. He...
