Pots with too short legs

So I bought a bunch of pots like these ones. The length of the legs is only 12,5mm and that is too little to reach the pcb because there are caps higher than that. These are my first self sourced builds and in the kits I've done before the pots' legs were longer. Do I have any choices to make these work or do I just need buy new ones? 12mm is so little that I don't see how they would work with too many designs with any kind of bigger caps?

Thanks!

Yeah - the pedalpcb 'standard' has the pots and switches mounted on the 'back' or non-component side of the board - so the pots stick through the enclosure and anchor the board in place, and the components are all visible. (which is handy for trimpots, internal switches, etc). If you were to get the 'tall pins' versions of the pots and install them on the component side, I think the controls would all be backwards. (e.g. volume up would be CCW). Really almost all of the DIY board kits I've seen follow this convention.
