Thanks. I'm not fussed about the LED, I'm happy for it to be on only when the dirty effect is engaged. It will probably be addressed in the documentation, but how would I wire it up for a second effect to switch to?

Think of it this way: Using a 3pdt, normally lugs 1 and 7 are the effect in/out, and 3 gets connected to 9 for a bypass, or some sort of variation on this. But, what I want to do is connect a second effect to 3 and 9 instead of a bypass so I'd be switching between them. There's no stacking...

Got around to boxing a Paragon Mini - tayda drill, powdercoat and uv print.

You need a buffer in front of these boards somewhere along the line, I put one before and after the volume pot. You'll get a great result using a buffered pedal, but no so much if you plug straight into it.

Well, we just played a gig on the weekend using the "100 watt" 3116 version as a bass amp to power a 4x10 cab using from a Helix. These things are plenty loud (as we've all been saying) but seem to work best with a pedal/preamp feeding a buffer before the amp.

Well.... it didn't make sense to me that a two trimmers turned all the way left would sound any different, but... this was the case. I absolutely couldn't get the same amount of treble out of them until I replaced it. It was like taking a blanket off the amp.

I will say that the last trimmer (the treble tone trimmer at the bottom right, looking at the components) absolutely needs to be 100k, otherwise it just sounds muffled. I had a 50k in one (sounded terrible), and a 100k in the other (sounded great) and I couldn't work out why until I checked...

You may or may not have the range to bias the jfets. I haven't actually measured the trimpot resistance, but I doubt you'd need the upper range (50k+) to bias to 4.5v (I didn't in this case anyway).

It was completely populated with the style of trimmers (100k) in the yellow circle. Those two are the only ones that worked so I left them in and replaced the rest with the 50k you see there. I'm certain I've used them in other builds, so.... anyway...

If you're having that sort of problem, a C taper (reverse taper) usually sorts it.
