SOLVED Madbean Slow Loris - no sound

That op07 looks a little sus. With the chip removed what do you get voltage wise? Mine shows 8 ish on pin 7 and 4 on pin 3. As @Erik S suggested, validate R10/12/13 which are in the power section and handle VC and other supply voltages. I will say that mine shows 8.9 on pin 8 where the MB docs...

Dead End FX Calypso LED advice sought.

The biggest gotcha I had with this board was the headers. You can check my build report for a run down of my header woes

Dead End FX Calypso LED advice sought.

The calypso build doc didn’t go into that much detail concerning the specs of the LED so I used the ones from Tayda with very good results. You will adjust the overall brightness of the LED with the trim1 on the lower board

Nice build! Lots of gold bling

Anyone built the Cosmos delay (PCBguitarmania)

I have seen that, but I have tapped out of building for the foreseeable future. Would love to “build them all”, but at the end of the day I can only use so many at a time

Anyone built the Cosmos delay (PCBguitarmania)

Based on the knob layout, that looks like the newest revision board which maybe they got their sh*t right, but I gave up long ago. I hear they are shutting up shop anyways so meh.

Glad it worked out. Got some pics?

    I still build sh*tty pedals

So my build inertia has pretty well hit the wall, but I do still build some stuff. I have been pretty meh ab posting my bare bones builds. So why start now? Because reasons. First up is a Tearjerker Wah with all the Chuck D Bones bass mods: First let me say, if you are planning on building one...

What's your favorite tremolo pedal circuit?

    Isn’t the Glasshole a phaser though….

What's your favorite tremolo pedal circuit?

It’s C7. If you add another 10uf in parallel series on a footswitch it will cut the current rate in half (takes twice as long to charge the capacitance) when engaged. I used an intelligent relay board to allow for momentary speed bursts. You can play with the values to tailor the speed range to...

    Excellent choice!

What's your favorite tremolo pedal circuit?

I have always liked the tremulus lune (PedalPCB trembling loon) circuit. But I highly recommend adding a footswitch with a cap in parallel to C??? to alter the speed on the fly (I.e. similar to the woodpecker speed switch)

Check the Parasit studio site https://www.parasitstudio.se/ for all your bit crusher needs. Pedalpcb Cordyceps ring mod or the captain bit will get you weird.

    Can’t have a foot switch.

The pots are soldered to the back/solder side of the pcb, body of the pot oriented towards the top of the board so you can just match up your lugs that way, or yes, the square would be lug 1 to ground. A (logarithmic) taper is usually preferred for volume. Subbing a 250 may mess with the usable...

    Bass DI pedalboard

I got a 2010 squier vintage modified 70’s jazz bass for $200. Swamp ash body, Duncan designed pups, solid choice. I ended up modding the electronics with stacked pots (don’t recommend) and a series/parallel switch (absolutely recommend) and more recently put on a Warmoth maple fretless neck. All...

    Bass DI pedalboard

My eldest currently plays a fretless jazz bass and the electric upright for his school’s jazz band and even though he has access to WAY too many pedals (mine), the only one that he has ever used was my Ocelot (OC-2) clone and that was for one Stevie Wonder song. If you are looking to go DI, I...

    Can’t have a foot switch.

That’s it. The LED is just an indicator light. You will want to place the switch in between the pup and board unless you want all fuzz all the time. You might want to consider a 3pdt toggle anyways so you can cut power to the fuzz when not in use not that a fuzz is going to drain a battery that...

This Week on the Breadboard: ROG Tri-Vibe

Gotcha. The draw for me wouldn’t be for hitting a specific speed, but doing the Leslie speaker tones/ramping like @cooder mentioned.

This Week on the Breadboard: ROG Tri-Vibe

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I will check out the dark rift schem. As far as using the entire speed range? Maybe. I definitely liked almost the entire range of speeds on my tri-vibe build. That and since there are 3 modes I feel like they each sounded best at slightly different speed ranges.
