Buffers help sometimes to put back the treble in a long chain of cables. Try a buffered pedal before and/or after it too

Was the first clip with one cable only? Cables have impedance too. Also bad connections can also degrade the signal. Check the cables each too.

Connect the base and collector. That will become the cathode and emitter becomes the anode.

Don't let the name fool you. Treble boosters add hair and just cut unnecessary low end in a band mix. You can change the input cap to add more bass back in. The really low gain transistors can be used as a ge diode.

9v straight to an LED will burn it out. Depending on the specs out can drop the resistance a bit, but there is a limit before it is destroyed

Finally finished mine after sourcing all the parts here in Japan. Cd4046 was the hardest to find from the chips. Still have the wrong switch for the dpdt, but it works in two modes for now. Only setback I had was the Tl072 wasn't connected enough. It was working one minute but not the next...

I just finished the mini heterodyne with those tayda rotaries. Fits perfectly, just a tad tall on the shaft. I'll cut them down.
