    SOLVED XB-MB (BB) Boost Hfe

Doing the BB Booster. It calls for BC550. I have mesured some BC550B (280-430Hfe) and some BC550C (430-520Hfe). Any one as experienced different Hfe in this circuit? Is it worth socketing let’s say the 280’s against the 450´s or will it have no significant tonal effect in this circuit?

    SOLVED Powder Blue 1u5 MLCC

Both availability and price makes sense to make selection. I ended up going with the box film caps. They were twice the price of MLCC's but I just needed a two for this built so that did not make a difference. I would have though a little longer if that value was to be needed on multiple...

    SOLVED Powder Blue 1u5 MLCC

The build docs for the Powder Blue call for 1u5 MLCC caps. Is there a tone related or specific reason for going MLCC or could it be replaced with box film cap? https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/PowderBlue-PedalPCB.pdf

    Banzai disaster

    Electrolytics Cap selection ....

Before I begin, i'm not trying to go crazy with this but for the sake of better understanding what the hell i'm doing ... When it get's down to electrolytic capacitors, I stick with Nichicon and Panasonic. I'll eliminate some choosing by filtering dimensions, voltage, dimensions, Tolerance...
