SHO Boost W/ Always On Buffer

unfortunately the ytoutube vid didnt have a link to a schematic... it was more of a play by placement and where to make cuts... pin 1 goes to on of the lugs on the pot.... This one is wired so the signal is always going through the circuit as a buffer with volume at zero when bypassed....

SHO Boost W/ Always On Buffer

Just tested it with my big setup and the pop i'm getting from the pedal is totally unusable... The pedal has a big range of boost and isnt coloring at all... but the pop turning on and off is huge... Going to have a closer look at how I can reduce the pop.

SHO Boost W/ Always On Buffer

This is my very first attempt at building on stripboard / Veroboard. Saw a YouTube video of a veroboard build and decided to give it a try.. It’s a super hard on boost wired for the buffer to be always on.. To my surprise it fired up on the first attempt.. Pretty tight quarters on the enclosure.

    Silica Fuzz

let me know when your ready for a germanium fuzz face... I can sort a couple germs for you and send your way... I have a small stash of about 35-40 AC125's that do well in fuzz faces. I can measure a couple for you and drop in the mail.

I didn't offer to solder it for him.... Won't be the last time I ask for help in a thread either.... I'm still a newb. :ROFLMAO:

    SOLVED Shrapnel: Prevent a Brother's Hara-kiri

"It do be like that sometimes" My guess is Bad IC chip, stray strand if wire touching something it shouldn't, internal trace with a dead end.... Your soldering looks pretty decent.. especially since you did a reflow and theres more solder than usual at a joint... I've seen noobs in here with...

    Graphics on phone?

Yeah... I'm impressed you don't have a computer.. I'm currently scanning our man cave downstairs where myself and my 3 teens all have our own rediculously overbuilt computers with watercooling. It would have cheaper for me to just give them calculators...

    Graphics on phone?

I bought a set of alphabet rubber stamps that are 1/4" letters and use testors enamel model paints for labeling occasionally... I also bought a set of metal stamping dies from harbor freight that has letters and numbers for stampings... on those I smear in enamel into the stamping and wipe real...

    ProtoBoard Voltages Sanity Check

Wondering if you installed the correct parts for your voltage regulators... Snap some pics that are clear so we can see your resistor bands and all the things..

    Nobleman OD build

Nice job!... Here's a little tip for that middle potentiometer so do don't blemish your caps... We see your mistakes.. lol make sure you clip the leads fairly flush where the pot goes... clean the back of your pcb with 99% iso.... then place that middle pot in the pcb and solder it in from the...

    Low Tide faceplate LED bezel?

probably pictures of my electrovibe builds in the build reports with that same led lens

    Low Tide faceplate LED bezel?

It's probably the same hole size for the electrovibe faceplate as well..... I use basically the same as jcpst suggested but the 5mm version... you have to open up the faceplate hole slightly for the 5mm version.... i just do it with a drill bit by hand with my oversized/undersized drill bit set..

Fuzzy Fox Loud static when engaged [Moved to Troubleshooting]

Start a new thread in the troubleshooting section.... First thing you need to do is get some 99% isopropyl and clean your board... All that flux is pretty bad. Your soldering definitely needs some more dialing in and likely the culprit.. but also your transistor selection/ pinout could also be...
