    Conqueror Fuzz

Hmmm. I was curious if other people had that issue. At least it works at some point!

    Conqueror Fuzz

This thing sounds wild. It takes a couple minutes to warm up all the transistors. When I first turn it on I get nothing, then a spit, then a roar of fuzz. The fasel inductor does make a nice Q tone that you can sweep. It is a very harsh, gated style fuzz, so beware. At least it looks really...

Thermionic Deluxe and Emu Amp Sim

Yeah the square holes are always fun. I don’t have a 11/16” bit so I just used the 1/2” of my stepbit to drill an upper and lower hole. Because you have the faceplate, you can be pretty rough with the holes. The main thing is to make sure the edges of the switches don’t touch the enclosure or...

Thermionic Deluxe and Emu Amp Sim

Yeah I’m using it to record into a digital Tascam 8 track. Loving it so far. The mic settings make a LOT of difference. I prefer the top ‘Classic’ setting. The amp settings will give you a nice start approximation is a driven Marshall/Mesa or a clean Fender. All in the effort to be quiet in my...

Thermionic Deluxe and Emu Amp Sim

Yeah the pointer tips hit each other in the middle. It’s fine with this setting as I don’t need to adjust the treble and bass that much from a noon setting.

Thermionic Deluxe and Emu Amp Sim

Built these 2 bad boys the last week. The copper enclosures are great. They hide any scratch and ding very well while drilling. Both pedals sound totally killer. The Thermionic is a great 2-channel Marshall sound in a box. Meanwhile, the Emu amp simulator has a ton of versatility in a single...

    Conquerer

Which fasel inductor did you use? That’s the only part I’m missing still.

    Tayda package

I’ll expect no less than 5 pedals from you this weekend now...glad you found your package. I’ve had that happen with DHL where it said delivered even though it wasn’t. But only once in a blue moon. Glad it worked itself out.

FV-1 output level on various PCB’s

Ok, that’s another thought I had. I just thought I read somewhere when the USB came out that PedalPCB said something about a volume level fix.

    Motivation lacking for final touch

I don’t ever put art on my enclosures after I build the pedals. Sure, it’d be sweet to have acid etched enclosures or snazzy stickers, but I build the pedals to be played, not looked at. Sure I may use a sharpie to remind me which is tone vs gain sometimes, but I generally leave them blank and...

FV-1 output level on various PCB’s

I built the D3lay a couple years ago, which runs on a FV-1 platform. I swap out various EEPROM’s. The signal is always very quiet when maxed out volume regardless of the wet/dry mix value. I later built the USB version of the FV-1. I noticed the level problem is totally solved now and I no...

Oh those all go in sideways actually ??

    Kazoo Fuzz

Built this one on January first and forgot to share! First pedal of 2020. This is another super simple fuzz. I’m always on the search for the worlds greatest fuzz. Or at least another one to build lol Another nice little Velcro-fuzz. The Fuzz knob gives you some range of thickness. Anywhere...

    Propolis Fuzz

This one sounds super crazy fuzz. It has no pots, just the on switch and an LED. Despite this, it has a massive amount of dynamic range. When gently picking an open C chord, if create almost ring mod like overtones. When you crush a power chord, it has a massive gated, Velcro zipper sound to it...

    SOLVED Propolis Fuzz Transistor question

For the resistors no, but this was a good example of the transistors being in backwards (and counter intuitive to the standard silkscreen alignment). I flipped the transistors around correctly and it works like a champ! A humbling experience nonetheless.

    SOLVED Propolis Fuzz Transistor question

Thanks. I’ll work on flipping those 4 around!

    SOLVED Propolis Fuzz Transistor question

Are those transistor tags on the circle for collector or emitter? I looked at the pinout and they tab is currently on the Collector side. Is that backwards?

    SOLVED Propolis Fuzz Transistor question

Here’s a gut shot. I’ve never put in the wrong value. So I hope this wouldn’t be the first time.

    SOLVED Propolis Fuzz Transistor question

I built the propolis and powered it on. It makes noise, but clearly not enough. It sounds both quieter than bypass and also not enough gain. There’s some spit there, but like level 1 of 10. I did a signal test and the signal goes all the way through the components. Am I to assume the culprit is...

    Is this the Muffin Factory?

No it’s got 2 extra switches. TOTALLY DIFFERENT ?
