I agree. The baja cv30m1960a veroboard speaker simulator I was using had balanced out, but I used 16v caps at the output. Someone turned on phantom power. I don't know how long they lasted that way, but when the caps popped, they damaged the board. I was rebuilding, but this sounds so much...

I assume on the FV-1 dev board all the 1uF are MLCC since they are so small. Are they in the signal path? I have gotten 50 gallon drum sounds from those before. Do I need to source them from someplace special? For the Super Heterodyne I was curious how it works.(and I may need it for debug if...

Before and after. I guess it's kind of lame not to get a new enclosure. This turned out to be a little more work than I thought. I had to redrill the hole for the led and enlarge the ones for the pots. I drilled out the hole in the faceplate so I could use the led bezel.

This does have noise when the power is turned on and off. If you are in a quiet setting make sure to bypass before turning on or off.

This sounds awesome with my setup. I am using a Frog pedals tube preamp I made and then going into this and then into my usb connected recorder. I splurged on the love myswitches knobs.

The flux remover came in, but the flux isn't here yet. The MG Chemicals works better than the Techspray on the flux that is in the kester leaded solder I am using, but it does have more fumes and takes longer to dry.

Is there a way to be notified when new build documents are made available? I guess all I am waiting on now is the FV-1 Dev board and the SuperHeterodyne Receiver. But I imaging soon I'll be waiting on something else. Thanks!

Do your pots have dust caps? Is it possible one of the pots is shorting to the back of the board while its in the case? Since you talk about the yellow, I assume it doesn't work in the case even when the back is off. I have had the back short stuff out before as well, but if it doesn't work with...

This is what I have been using to remove flux after completing a board right before I enclose it. I get it from a local electronics shop. It works pretty well, but I think it's kind of pricey. This can is almost empty so I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of what works for them.
