I had a lot of fun building this pedal and everything seemed to go well. I thought for sure it would work when I finished it up. But it doesn't. No sound with the pedal on or off. The LED does work. The only thing I was confused about was the stereo jack since I wasn't planning on using a...
@MichaelW do you notice any difference in those Mylar and Tantalum capacitors? For some reason I have a fascination with the OD-1 and found this post a while back where he describes getting better tone on his with Mylar and carbon resistors, etc. so I bought some to try...
Yeah, I'm thinking that image is just there for reference of how it is supposed to look. I'll just have to measure it myself with the measurements they give or hold out if I want to give their drilling service a try.
@MichaelW I didn't appreciate some things about your build until I started building this one myself. This is my first pedal build other than the BYOC that I painted by numbers a few years ago.
I'm curious if that is a 125B enclosure and how did you measure to get the 3PDT Breakout Board to sit...
I recently purchased the Eternity DIY PCB from Tayda and on the page below it has the drilling template. But when I save the png and print it... it is not big enough to fit over my 1590B enclosure. Anybody ever had luck printing these...
So cool... my reason for learning to build pedals was to eventually build amps. I never thought about anything like this.. it will have to be my logical next step when I get good at building pedals to then move here to building pre-amps before I start building amps. The 800 is my favorite.
I recently purchased this PCB and am looking forward to building it.. but I thought it was a Tube Screamer circuit? They advertise it like this:
Where as, the Odd One Out was the SD-1 circuit I thought? I got one of those too.
Thanks for that.. I'll be trying my first few enclosures without a template and see how that goes. So far everything I have gotten has basically come from Tayda except a few parts I couldn't find there.
