DEMO Fuzz Hysteria - Aion FX Polaris [Human Gear Animato]

Ooo, very interesting. Perhaps a dumb Q: is a phase switch actually necessary? or could one just swap the send and return on one of the pads and achieve the same thing?

Where and why do people buy Chibsons?

I'm catching thread late. @drgonzo1969, did you already order the AliExpress Ace model? If not, I would seriously consider paying the $83 shipping from Germany and getting an Indonesian-made model with good reviews. At least with Harley Benton, you know what you're getting.

    Pedal Power from Phantom Power?

Most of my mic preamps deliver more than 10ma. Hopefully some of yours do too.

Another Wise Sheep from Sheepylove via Michael W

Yes indeed! I had one remaining 5mm YELLOW LED from another project installed in this spot. Looked super cool, but it burned up after a few seconds bc there was no CLR on the board. Whoops. So I installed an orange, rather than wait for a Mouser order. I'll install a yellow eventually...

Another Wise Sheep from Sheepylove via Michael W

Thank you Michael and Sheepy for making this available to the masses. I was excited to give this a go, because I've never built a “Blues Breaker” style pedal. Since I've built every other classic circuit (TS, Rat, Muff, etc,) I had to give it a try. Easy build. Slightly higher gain than many...

Solenoid (Soul Driven) Overdrive bass switching resistors

I have to recant this statement. The bass boost actually brings out some heft in my neck pickup that I didn't notice before. It's especially noticeable when comparing to similar drive circuits like the Zen drive.

Hi-gain modern fuzz that isn't muddy/has clear note definition?

Maybe Corduroy Fuzz in the tight setting. Or possibly Pyrocumulus with the sustain rolled down?

The Thing (Dynamorph from DeadEndFX) LEDs are always lit (and not in a good way.)

I'm so happy to hear that. I will dig back into it this weekend. Thanks for the encouragement!

    Face Melter IC

I should have recorded my tests. I swapped 4 different op-amps. They all sounded the same to me in this circuit. Couldn't tell the difference between a TL072 and the CA3240. The good news is: they all sound great! Really fun pedal.

    Amazon CA3240EZ Op-Amp

The part that will bother you is not knowing what chips you're buying. The ones from Amazon will work, but you'll never know if they're a relabeled 4560d, a relabeled LM258, a relabeled TL052, a relabeled TL082, etc. etc. etc. It gives you no point of comparison. If you're OK with a different...

Looking to build a relay bypass where you can switch between momentary and latching on the fly

Totally valid. But I'd still give it a try before you re-invent the wheel. Robert's code timing is so well perfected, you'd be hard-pressed to introduce ambiguity. I don't know how many milliseconds the press is, but any hold over 1/16th note, you're automatically in momentary mode. You'd have...

The Thing (Dynamorph from DeadEndFX) LEDs are always lit (and not in a good way.)

It's interesting that I *just caught that* when I posted the snippet of the schematic. Dang! Should've bridged those pads before I determined the envelope wasn't working. I did eventually add the expression jack. But I might have already dorked the R60 before this stage, I can't remember. Yet...

LM317 power supply design (~33V DC) from 50V AC tap (tube preamp content)

Max input voltage on LM317 is 40v sez datasheet. I don't know if that will be a problem. Might want to use a TL783 instead. (?)

    Face Melter (P**** Melter) graphics

I forgot to follow up! Everyone I know wanted one, so I built 3 beautiful snatch melters for friends. It's all thanks for the hard work of @Chris420 and the great @fig for sharing his op-amps with me. After trying every compatible op-amp, I'm confident there's no reason to spend big money on...

Looking to build a relay bypass where you can switch between momentary and latching on the fly

PedalPCB's Intelligent Relay Bypass does what you want. The build documentation is probably confusing, but: no power cycling is required.

    PedalPCB T-Shirt sizes

I'm in the camp of willing-to-pay-extra for Next Level apparel. The softness is like the warm embrace of this forum. They make regular t-shirt material feel like a burlap sack in comparison.

The Thing (Dynamorph from DeadEndFX) LEDs are always lit (and not in a good way.)

Right now it's packed away in my box of things I never want to look at again. But I will dig it out and measure next week.

The Thing (Dynamorph from DeadEndFX) LEDs are always lit (and not in a good way.)

Back to Dynamorph troubleshooting. I wonder if these 10k resistors are sucking the juice out of our vactrol's LED.
