Unusual enclosures - looking for suggestions

I picked these up over the weekend. My wife actually saw them at the thrift store and said “those would be awesome cleaned up a bit”. So, I’m thinking some kind of fuzz or a tube based pedal. What say you?

    Basic DSO question

The fact that I have no idea how to use a scope is one reason I wanted this cheapie version. Hurts less when I blow it up 😁

    Basic DSO question

I had one of these in my Amazon wishlist (use it for bookmarking more than anything) and my daughter bought it for me for Christmas. I know it’s very basic, minimal specs, but is it good for some things as far a pedal building goes? I’d be afraid to use it on a tube amp even with the 10X probe.

    Dream fuzz tone circuit

So after trying different tone circuits (regular BMP tone circuit, Rat, AMZ BMP modified, AEFEA drive, OpAmp BMP, and just some fixed resistors/caps) the OABMP seems to give me the best overall tone sweep with my Seamoon fuzz circuit. They are somewhat similar. Anyway, I’m assuming that the 47K...

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

Quick question: With all the grounds tied together with traces like I've done, does a copper pour really make any difference in this type of circuit?

    Adding a Tone Control

I just cabbaged on to my previous Diptrace thread on this circuit. https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/diptrace-first-try-at-pcb-layout.10204/

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

To expand on adding a BMP tone control and diode protection. Here is what I have so far. I know it could be infinitely smaller I'm sure. I have the tone pot mounted down and the Bite/Level up to form a triangle.

    Adding a Tone Control

Breadboarded it and putting the BMP tone control right before the volume pot works fine. There is lots of gain on hand. The values I have for the tone stack seemed to work well. I’ve tried my hand at making a pcb, but I’m gonna need guidance. I’ll start a new thread for that.

    Adding a Tone Control

I breadboarded it up once and then took a stab at designing a pcb for it. I'll have to wire it all back up and add a tone control to see how I like it if I get some time this weekend.

    Adding a Tone Control

This is Nash's "version". Its a stock Seamoon Fresh Fuzz (Anderton Fuzz) with the added tone control.

    Adding a Tone Control

It's very loud. I basically just stuck a BMP tone stack in there for example's sake. I'll have to mess around with different ones, but I wan't sure where to try inserting it. When I look at the Nash version the tone stack has two resistors and two caps it appears, IIRC.

    Adding a Tone Control

Curious where would be the best spot to add a tone control into this Seamoon Fresh Fuzz circuit (ala Nash NGDP Fuzz)? After the IC like this, or before?

    Mini Rotary Switch board

Boards for the 2P4T and the 1P8T would be great. Finding a switch that is small and not taking up a huge amount of space is a PITA.

    Mini Rotary Switch board

I’ve got several protoboard builds I could use these for. They are just somewhat delicate and a little too long on the heat kills them. Hopefully a pcb would keep me from ruining to many. They are the only switch’s I’ve ever had issues with.

    Mini Rotary Switch board

That’s what I was thinking. Wouldn’t need to be much bigger than the switch.

    Mini Rotary Switch board

    Yep. Specifically the 2P4T. https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/mini-rotary-switch-2p4t/

    Mini Rotary Switch board

Does anyone make a small breakout board for the little 8 pin mini rotary switches? I’ve seen the Rototone boards but that’s way more and bigger than I want. They are a pita to solder leads to (r.e. I just ruin em too easy).

Thanks. Steel brush on a dremel. It was really cold so I took about 3 minutes and did that. The pics really make the odd scratches show, but in person you don't see them hardly at all.

Finally got this thing done. Had problems with it not passing signal once boxed and tracked it down to a faulty pot. Of course I had to order more because you never have that one part you need. Ended up putting a BC183 (Hfe 230) in Q1 and a BC109C (Hfe 500) in Q2 and biasing at 3V. I didn't have...
