Dream fuzz tone circuit

So after trying different tone circuits (regular BMP tone circuit, Rat, AMZ BMP modified, AEFEA drive, OpAmp BMP, and just some fixed resistors/caps) the OABMP seems to give me the best overall tone sweep with my Seamoon fuzz circuit. They are somewhat similar.

Anyway, I’m assuming that the 47K series/ground resistors in the bypass circuit are there to keep the volume level relatively the same? That’s what it sounded like. And what is the 1uf cap there for? I couldn’t really tell a difference with it in or out.

I assume by bypass you mean tone bypass? It does look like the voltage divider (which halves the voltage) is there to keep the volume consistent with the tone not bypassed.
About the 1u cap (C9), that’s mainly there to filter DC voltage so you definitely want to keep it there. You don’t hear a difference without (assuming you mean with C9 replaced by a short) because it doesn’t directly affect the tone since it just filters DC.
