Excessive microphonics in a guitar & PUs

I’m not sure what piezo sounds like. Are they out of phase?

There’s no hot teacher there. I got all excited. 🤣

Oh yeah, it sounds fantastic. The brown face amps with the harmonic trem sound great.

The only thing I can think of is the layout is wrong. In my experience, some of the schematics are wrong. My guess is intentionally. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out why the reverb was operating in reverse.

    Tommy III crackle sound

When the solder joints cool off, they shrink. We’ve all been there, it’s terribly frustrating.

    Tommy III crackle sound

Solder joints cooled down and one of them needs to be reflowed. That’s my initial guess.

Sounds like a ground, could be anything, though. Did you just finish building it or has it been built for a while?

I did not. I made an eagle file from the schematic for a friend who sent me a pcb.

Strip board is a lot easier to troubleshoot IMHO. No hidden traces. What I like to do is take a pic of the back side and zoom in on it. You can see bridges and bad solder joints easier.

What brand waterslide paper do you use

If it will take card stock, you’ll have no issues. I used to use my exwife’s printer when she wasn’t home. She was always confused when it ran out of toner so quickly even though she hadn’t printed that much. 🤣

Tactician : A bass-centric crossover and DI based on 80s Peavey circuits

I love it. I wish I still had the old Peavey Bass head I used to have. It was one of the MKI heads. The uncle that gave it to me borrowed it and gave it back when it stopped working. I held onto it for about 20 years before I got rid of it. Wish I had it back.

    LED polarity

If nothing else, you can look at trace and see which side goes to the clear. Or, you can use your DMM to see which pad has voltage.
