SOLVED How to reverse "flipped" PNP circuit back to positive ground?

I build a lot of these. You could wire it up without a board. The yellow one in back has a leg free for the pot. The bottom rail wire is the +9v. The front one is for a full on all the time with no pot on the collector Also the yellow one is missing a power cap. I ran out.

SOLVED How to reverse "flipped" PNP circuit back to positive ground?

That schematic is drawn oddly. The 9v + is written twice, and is meant to be all ground wires. -9v is all power. If the diode isn't the right way or the caps +/- isnt seeing the same polarity it also won't work. Don't have any other pedals plugged into the power supply or daisy chain.

SOLVED How to reverse "flipped" PNP circuit back to positive ground?

This is a good reference schematic for all types. https://www.tonefiend.com//wp-content/uploads/DIY%20Club%20Project%204%20v03.pdf

Also remove that diode you had. It might be backwards. And yes flip the caps and + and -.

Can you prolong a germanium transistor's life?

They sound the same as my nicer ac 108's. They came in what looked like a pipe bomb in the mail from some eastern block country off eBay 10 years ago. It was a mixed bunch of random stuff. Just hope I can get some years out of them. Trying to make these rangemasters look like artwork. The...

Can you prolong a germanium transistor's life?

So I've had these AF106 transistors for many years sitting in a bag. The other day I decided to just make some rangemasters out of them. Might sell a few, but I'm worried about their lifespan. One was low gain a year ago and now it's dead. The other two are fine. I was reading these are a...

    Brass master build

Just one spot on q5 on the schematic I believe. I think this will be sturdy. Solid core wires help keep thing put. This thing reminds me of a super fuzz I made, but perhaps more sounds out of it. The clean/wet blend is nice.

    Brass master build

Took maybe 10 hours to build and another 10 to trouble shoot one loose resistor. Lots of parts for a Vero board, but I managed. Sounds killer on guitar and even better on bass. Might be my new favorite bass fuzz. Used oddball transistors 2sc1815 and 2n5306 Darlington, everything else stock...

    Understanding Potentiometers

In most circuits a higher value gives you a wider control over something. But sometimes a high value might only work at the very last part, so people might narrow the value down to have a more usable sweep. Also the type of pot varies the type of sweep curve, line, audio, etc..in passive...

What is your favorite "Big Muff" circuit, and why?

Any one which has a modded tone control to be flat or with a sight mid boost. I just hate playing in a band with the stock mid scoop tone control. You disappear.....

Help choosing versatile distortion! (for drums, synths etc)

I love running my clav, organ and synths through a silicone tone bender I made. It cleans up well and adds character. But I think if you're just recording there are great free tape distortion vst plugins. I love my dod 250 as well. I've used bullet mics for distorted drums and have reamped...

    [Vero] ProCo RAT

I always like to check what new pedals sound like online and compare them to my new builds. I've done similar things in the past and had pedals not working the way they should be. Can make a big difference.

    Jack Orman's Pickup Simulator / Anti-Buffer...

I don't think you'd even need to bother with a board on this. Just hook up the wires. I've done basically the same thing with old unused guitar pickups.

Boost pedal i built. Finding best Potentiometer rating! HELP!

Usually a higher pot resistance or taper type would fix that. So it makes me wonder if there is a mistake somewhere else. Got a schematic and pictures?

That's a great one. I like the bass bb for guitar too. Sansamp is great and my go to in the studio. Rats and fuzzes are great

SOLVED Mini heterodyne receiver is very loud

You can squeeze it in on the bottom sides and not put a job on it. Keeps it out of the way and it's harder to move by bumping it.
