In search of a reliable source for 1or 2 HT8950 ICs for upcoming Roboto build

I've studied the Robot (aka; "Bad Robot", "Roboto", etc) circuit and found at its heart is the HT8950 (18-pin) chip. I've scoured the datasheet for this chip and find that there are two variants: the "HT8950" (with 18-pins) and the "HT8950A" (with 16-pins). Both chips do the same thing except...

Mini Rotary Switch (1P8T) - adjustable stops?

Mouser offers Grayhill stop-adjustable rotary switches in several configurations. The price is a good bit steeper and the connections, footprint & drills are different. They are also a far sturdier rotary.

    FFS Chorus-EHX Small Clone

The EHX Small Clone is probably my favorite chorus circuit to build. Good mod potential too. Nice work!

New SpinCAD Designer release with major usability improvements

Fair enough DL. Thanks! Now that I've futz'd with it more bit, I can hear what you described. I just had to adjust the Pots more to get the switching to actuate.

New SpinCAD Designer release with major usability improvements

Sure thing DL. For one, can't get the Ambience block to produce an ambient-like effect. Sounds more like tiny tank. Do you have an example?

    Six String Stringer

If any components do not fit snuggly in any sockets, you can gently wrinkle the legs a bit so they do fit snug.

    Moonshot Tremolo LDR Led?

No. That LED is the bypass LED. On this Moonshot build, there are two locations to place the bypass LED. The other one is at the bottom of the board. The one at the top of the board has nothing to do with the 1N5817 Schottky protection diode. Wire the diode so it can be mounted to the...

    Mahayana IC

The chips not damaged - unless any of the legs are broken off. If no legs are broken off, just straighten them and it'll be fine.

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

The Rockman X100 chorus circuit generally operates with a delay range of approximately 20–24ms or modulated around 17–23ms, designed to produce a wide stereo image.

    Variable capacitor

Not being a true engineer, I was surmising pretty much the same thing, but wanted to ask. Thanks!

    Variable capacitor

How critical are the existing values of P2 & R2? Can P2 be up'd to 50K? That (by the equation) would make the 100pF cap's value change up to 4n6. Or is C2's value the only component that can be futz'd with? How about R2 - can it be lowered? I'm trying to sort out this circuit is best balanced.

New SpinCAD Designer release with major usability improvements

DL - what are the "S/O Clamp Tri", "S/O Clamp Sine", "S/O Range Tri" & "S/O Range Sine" blocks in the 'phaser-modulation-test.spcdj' patch? I seem unable to find them on the menu in the 1069 release. Are those just part of a special test?

Spatialist Reverb with momentary switch on dwell; any way to reduce speed of change?

I believe it should go to the top side of the SLAM resistor - or the other side of the resistor in your image.

Spatialist Reverb with momentary switch on dwell; any way to reduce speed of change?

You an use an electrolytic cap. Just keep the + side pointed towards the more positive voltage direction. Glad you're trying additional options. (y)

Spatialist Reverb with momentary switch on dwell; any way to reduce speed of change?

TBH, I'm not entirely sure if it should go to ground or directly across the resistor without testing it. And testing it will not hurt anything - whether it works or not. It's a shot in the dark, but should work in theory, one way or the other.

Spatialist Reverb with momentary switch on dwell; any way to reduce speed of change?

Try adding a 10µF across that 390Ω resistor. That should slow down the rise and fall of the slam effect.
