You shoppin for tape? I have a couple cool R2R machines here that I’ve been on the fence about what to do with. Both need repair which might be a fun project, but every time I think about dealing with deteriorating NOS tape I get turned off. And I’m way to cheap to spring for new tape...

If I’m reading the build doc right, this is r18 and should be 82ohm, but looks might be an 82k.

I'd probably try shaving down the diode leg before I attacked the PCB. Diodes are a lot cheaper than PCBs.
