    PAF pickups 5 way switch

Instead of neck split you can also consider wiring the neck in parallel which is a nice option to have IMO. This can also be done with a push/pull pot as an addition to the 5-way you’re planning. Another option could be inner split (neck inner and bridge inner together) instead of neck and...

    Fuzz face input pot/transformer

I’m building a number of fuzz faces with the Sunflower and Sandspur PCBs and the Solaris and Epsilon AION PCBs. Also the Tactical Fuzz. The clean control of the Sunflower/Sandspur is 50k (I make it externally controllable) and the AION ones use B 250k pots. Both seem to work fine but I was...

Vero board for Ilitch PCB trimpot board

For the Tacit Blue (Tactical Fuzz) I received a TL019-R. I havent received the PCB yet because the shipment is stuck at customs here in the Netherlands. The TL019-R has a relative low resistance between legs 1 and 2 of the primary coil. Since it's used to simultate guitar pickup coil(s), could...

Vero board for Ilitch PCB trimpot board

I'm using 2 Ilitch noise coil solutions, one with a backplate and another one routed underneath the pickguard. This noise coil has a resistance of around 350k (for standard) which works for standard output single coils. Ilitch includes a small PCB with 2 trimpots and a few SMD caps to dial in...

Origin Effects Revival Drove and UA Ox Stomp

I’m using the Ox Stomp with a UAFX Lion 68, Tonex and a Bogner Ecstasy 100b into a Suhr Reactive Load. Don’t have a lot of issues with the UA App. Ox Stomp goes into a number of Strymon pedals.

    SOLVED Tactical Fuzz No Audio

Which transistors did you use and where did you end up on the trimpot setting? Where should you set the trimpot when there’s an external bias control?

    SOLVED Tactical Fuzz No Audio

    Found a TL019-R in Spain. ;)

    SOLVED Tactical Fuzz No Audio

Can I also use a TM019-R instead of the TL019-R?

    Origin Effects Halcyon Gold

Some input from John (Product Manager Origin Effects) about the Halcyon Gold on TGP: It's cool to see so much interest in our Adaptive Circuitry. While we're obviously not going to tell you what's in the secret sauce, I suppose we can rule out a few guesses - hopefully this will help people...

    Origin Effects Halcyon Gold

There’s a discussion on TGP if treble bleeds on a guitar might affect the behavior of the adaptive circuit. The pedal behavior won’t change, the travel on the volume pot does change with a treble bleed and I would assume that the treble bleed would give more brightness but that has to be...

    Origin Effects Halcyon Gold

I’d also would like to know if these are tuned circuits for each pedal or more generic? I would assume that every pedal needs some tuning?

    Origin Effects Halcyon Gold

The adaptive circuit is interesting where it brings the EQ back to a more flat response, especially when rolling down the volume and the lows and highs vary depending on mode I or II. The separate dry instead of dry/gain blend of the Klon is also a nice twist. I do think that the Gladio, that I...

    Origin Effects Halcyon Gold

Discussion at TGP: Man, a dynamic eq pedal could be a really cool idea. I wonder if any of the digital eq's like boss or w/e already do that? Or is that what the OE eq pedal is in essence?

    Origin Effects Halcyon Gold

This pedal seems rather cool. I would be interested to find out more how the adaptive circuit works? EDIT: if this is more of a generic EQ shaping and impedance reacting circuit why not build it in a separate pedal instead of repeating it in every pedal in the Halcyon series? I can smell a...

    Sonic Distortion derivates

I own an original Maxon SD-9 and I’m interested to experiment with a number of PCBs which are similar. This thread is to share insights and mod experiences. I’m going to build an AION Meteor (Mods from the SD9M (mids) and a clipping switch) and the PPCB Samurai (based on Way Huge Geisha Drive)...

DEMO Shut up and play yer Baritone! (and some pedals)

Ariel Posen uses 17, 20, 30w, 40w, 52w and 64w for B standard. Joey Landreth uses something close to that. That will give you something close to 010 E standard tension.

Clandestine (Chase Tone Secret) noise increases when putting on back lid

It works on 12v so I'm done investigating. Already took too much time.

Clandestine (Chase Tone Secret) noise increases when putting on back lid

Replaced all 25v+ rated elco caps with 35v and 50v and reflowed the film caps. The noise problem is still there on 9v but now I can safely use it on 12v and will keep it like that.
