i just built the Splendifierous and I have a problem with the gain control. it overloads and has a nasty pulsing sound when the gain is past halfway. just wondering if anyone else has run into this? any help would be greatly appreciated here's pic of my built up pcb.

I've built 15 Nobeliums (with various DI transformers-C2E's, Jensens and lightning boy ) and just used the C2E enclosures and faceplates for all of them.

yeah, they were expensive (but worth it). i'll have to check if it cleans up with the volume knob.

I just completed the Repro Fuzz PCB and tested it. I first tried it with the specified Germanium 241304 (152hfe) transistor but wsan't happy with sound of the fuzz after comparing it to an original Supro Fuzz which i already own. I replaced the transistor with a 2N1308 (392 hfe) and it now...

i use krylon matte clear and then buff it high gloss.

no, it's a decal printed on clear decal paper then shot with multiple clear coats so the brown and yellow are semi-translucent making it look like a candy colored paint.
