I noticed some GodCity Instruments builds were using discrete opamps, 2520 I believe. I know they can have higher headroom, lower noise, and run at a higher voltage. This can be dependent on the circuit, but are they worth the hassle and have any of you used any in builds? Just curious.

Westwood or Sherwood on the left and Coda Sunn Model T preamp on the right. I used gel food coloring to give an anodized effect I think it turned out well. Sherwood/Weswood sounds great on bass.
