    Mystery Machine Gain Volume Issue

Hey, Brett. That worked. I did end up installing the pot on the front just below the gain. I don't mind it. Thanks for your help. You da man!!

    Mystery Machine Gain Volume Issue

My main thing is not having to drill another hole messing up the finish and layout. I guess using a trimmer I could keep the adjustment feature while storing it inside the pedal.

    Mystery Machine Gain Volume Issue

That's a great approach and I appreciate the help. Is there a way to use this same basic approach but only using a resistor instead of a potentiometer? Thanks again.

    Mystery Machine Gain Volume Issue

I don't know. But I don't want to try to remove the pots in fear of damaging the PCB. I did try lowering the value of R6, the resistor between the C2 collector and the rail, which did lower the volume of the gain stage. But, it also seemed to increase the dry signal too much. So, still...

    Mystery Machine Gain Volume Issue

I love building pedals and I'm learning a lot as I go. But I have a knowledge deficit when it comes to schematics. Lol I recently built the Mystery Machine, everything works and I like it a lot. The only thing that I wish I could change is the volume difference between the clean and the...

ElectroVibe Bulb Not Flashing and No Effect

Yes, I had a lot of socketed components which J think was causing some poor connections. So, I got a second PCB and rebuilt it soldering everything secure tot he PCB and that fixed all my issues. Pedal sounds great now.

    Arachnid V2 Low Volume

Here is a pic for reference. Barring incorrect resistor values and poor solder joints, is there a known mod to boost the output volume. It's seems like several folks have this same issue. Or, has people built it and its fine for them.

    Arachnid V2 Low Volume

Hey, everyone. I have built lot of Pedal PCB products and most turn out great. This one I'm hvaing an issue with the volume being lower than unity even with the volume know all the way up. Doesn't see to be right but I may be wrong. The pedal is unusable as it is. I've tried a few things that I...

    FV 1 volume

I have the same issue but with the newer one with the rotary. R11 is currently 100K. Should I increase or decrease R11 for more output?

    Increase Pedal output gain

I have the same issue and I tried parallel resistors on R20 & R21 but it didn't seem to do anything. I connected a 33k resistor in parallel to the R21 resistor and another 33k resistor to the R21 resistor. This should have reduced the 15k resistors to 10K resistors resulting in more signal...

    Noise when combining PedalPCB Pedals

You are correct. I just checked and I have the DC brick which from what I can tell is not. Should have gotten the MXR IsoBrick.

    Noise when combining PedalPCB Pedals

Hi, everyone. I love building these PedalPCB pedals but am starting to get discouraged. Here's why…noise!! I've built the following pedals and on their own they work fine, sound great and are quiet. But, when I chain them together on my board I'm getting a lot of noise (sounds like a...

ElectroVibe Bulb Not Flashing and No Effect

Hi, everyone. I was so looking forward to playing this pedal except it doesn't work. I have bypass signal, there are signal volume drops and tone changes when I switch between Chorus and Vibrato, the bulb is on just not flashing, the internal trim pots affect the bulb brightness, just no...

    Muffin Factory 106NU70 Transistor Substitute

Well, I got it all together and it works. I socketed the GE transistors and does anyone know what the 39nF cap does? Got to design a graphic and get some better knobs for it but it's together at least. I haven't fiddled with the settings yet but out of the gait it seems to have an overall dark...

    Muffin Factory 106NU70 Transistor Substitute

I know. I'm just so intrigued with the idea of this build. If I'm lucky it'll work when I'm done. If not, I'm sure I'll learn a lot from such as big fail—I always do.

    Muffin Factory 106NU70 Transistor Substitute

Yeah, I had my reservations, too, and realize that I need the NPN not the PNP (still learning). So, I found these on SmallBear: https://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/germanium-transistor-russian-mp38a-38/

Thanks, I found the 2N404 Germanium PNP Transistor on Amazon. It has an hFE of 85. Will it still work?
