Parentheses - High pitched whine without a buffer in front

Absolutely love this pedal. I have been using the Rat side as a boost into my Wizard MTL clone and it is one of the only boosts I like with the amp. Adds just the right amount of grit and aggression with the volume cranked and the gain just barely on. I wasn't able to find a LM308 so I am...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

Looking for this as well. I was thinking about ordering up a board and unsure if I have everything I need to build it or not. Schematic or even a component list would be handy if anyone has one.

    SOLVED Magnetron unity gain issue

I probably would have went with the NE5532 if I had some on hand. I have a pile of 4558s and it did the trick.. It is socketed so I can easily swap it out. I hope it works out. I could have just had bad luck on this one.

    SOLVED Magnetron unity gain issue

Replaced the opa2134 I purchased from Tayda with a 4558 and it works like a dream. No issues at all....Nothing like wasting a few hours expecting you made a mistake...

    SOLVED Magnetron unity gain issue

C6 was wrong and replaced but did not fix my issue. Delay works great. I just get the popping and a bit of noise in the middle of the trim pot. Both ends (Quiet and loud) seem fine. Will dig around for a replacement

    SOLVED Magnetron unity gain issue

I will take a look but the lead/pad is right at the edge so that is what you are seeing there. I can try replacing it. Looks fine from the other side. I just went through all resistor values and everything looks good there.

    SOLVED Magnetron unity gain issue

I just find it odd that I can get it sounding and working perfectly with no popping at 2 points. Too loud or too quiet. Absolutely love it so far so I really hope I can get it sorted...Ignore the burning on the io board...I reused that one and had a hell of a time desoldering. I still need to...

    SOLVED Magnetron unity gain issue

Fighting a strange issue with my latest build. I am getting some odd noise and switch popping at unity gain. I have been playing with the trim pot for a solid 30 minutes. I have found 2 points that sound great, no extra noise or switch popping. One is above and the other is below unity....So...

I don't think this is going to fit in a 125b

I finished this up about a month ago. A lot of learning, late nights, and colorful langauge but I couldn't be happier with the result. The amp turned out to be an absolute monster and I am floored every time I power it on. It was a lot to take on for a first build and not being a kit but I am...

    SOLVED Greengage very low output

No problem! I am glad that did the trick. It's an easy mistake to make.

I don't think this is going to fit in a 125b

I built my first pedal around Christmas time and I haven't been able to stop building things since. I hope this is ok to post here. A slightly more ambitious project this time. The board is a Wizard MTL from HeadFirst in Australia. Jason's board was fantastic to work with I sourced all of...

    SOLVED Greengage very low output

R3 should be a 10M ..That looks like a silver stripe and not green in the photo. double check that

    Belton Brick question

I didn't socket. There is a unity volume issue as you mention and you are spot on. That resistor swap will do the trick.

    Belton Brick question

You are exactly right. I just built one myself. No black magic. Awesome pedal btw. I love mine.

    Well that sure escalated quickly.

That is only because the spirit box is going in a printed enclosure as soon as I submit a Tayda order. Don't worry..It is bothering me more than it should.

    Well that sure escalated quickly.

HA. I forgot to socket my ics in the first build as well. I was met with a lot of disappointment until I looked down on my desk and saw them sitting there.

    Well that sure escalated quickly.

No kidding. I may or may not already have an amp pcb sitting here ready to populate.

    Well that sure escalated quickly.

Thanks! I was just floored that they all worked on the first attempt. I am especially happy with the last build (TC Pre) with the exception of the giant 220n cap. That will be replaced because OCD.
