1044scpa vs 7662CP vs 7660

I've never had an issue with the Tayda 1044. The 1044 was made as a pin compatible upgrade to the 7660 so to a certain degree they are interchangeable, but the 7660's oscillator frequency is by default in the audible frequency range and can't be increased out of it the way a 1044s can. I've never subbed one so can't speak to oscillator feed through personally.

The 1044scpa, 7662CP & 7660 are all pin-for-pin compatible. However, their respective max voltage supplies, operating frequencies, max current outputs and max voltage outputs vary from one to the other. See the datasheets for details.
Ok so the reason for my question was I have a 7662 that would be used in like the Aphrodite circuit on hand. Got a Doxie to build in the schematic they look pretty similar however between pins 2 and 4 of the 7662 the Aphrodite is using a 100u where as with the 1044 the Dixie is using a 10u. Also coming off of pin 5 it’s 100u vs 10u. Also the 100n is swapped position but I suspect that doesn’t matter much. Those electrolytic caps are just for smoothing any "ripple". I suggest following the values in either the build doc or as printed on the PCB. IMO, a 47µF cap could be used in both scenarios.

Speaking of 7660SCPAZ, does anyone have experience with them from amazon? Legit, or nah? I know Amazon doesn’t have the greatest track record with having legit chips, but I’m wondering if they’re worth grabbing in a jam

I don’t, I’d be curious though. I think I’ve been lucky and haven’t had any real issues from Amazon. I bought 10 lm13700 from that same seller and 2 of the ten didn’t work in the circulator pcb.

Free returns…

I’ll let you know Thursday.

Yea do not buy them. These are heading back. 100% not scpa. Has that high frequency whine, darn I was hoping.

Coincidentally I was just looking at the TC7662, that's why this thread caught my eye.

The 7662 runs at 12kHz, no boost function, so that's a bummer.... But, it can handle up to 18V input, so that's different.

7662B can take 15v and has the boost frequency, ive used those on klones before.
