Just measure a bunch of 15k, more than likely you will find some. OR get real anal and tepee two values together to get the requisite 14.7k. OR just give no f’s since 300ohm probably isn’t going to make a noticeable difference and use 15k. The choice is yours young padawan

No doubt this is for a BJF circuit, he uses that value and similar wonky values a lot (I have entirely too many 2.55K and 360K resistors because of this)

on point answer...
I had some ancient 15k 5% resistors laying around that were exactly 14.7 ish.
Apparently you can actually buy 14.7k resistors... who knew?

Just use 15k you’ll be fine. This is Chucks modded version of the BJFE Pink purple fuzz. Which has the included clipping pot. One of the best fuzzes in my opinion. As for the pot I’d stick to the taper.

I've only checked Tayda but they don't have 25K Audio taper pots.

The taper meaning is it logarithmic, linear, or non logarithmic. In this build you want to stick with the tapered pots this build asks for. If I remember correctly I used an A50k for one the the pots since I didn’t have an A25k either. Gimme a sec to look up my build report to double check.

Ok yeah so for the TREBLE I ended using an A50K instead of the A25k. It worked perfectly fine no squeal or nothing.

By the way I suggest breadboarding Q1and looking for 6v on the drain. For the GE tranny anything over 100 hfe isn’t going to make much difference so save your really high gain GE transistors! The one I went with had an hfe of 96.
