3PDT PCB + PedalPCB

Sorry I'm such a noob, this has probably been answered 30 times already but I can't figure out how to find the info I'm looking for...

Is there a definitive guide to wiring pcbs to foot switches somewhere? If so, can I get a link please? I've seen some pictures of other people's pedals that had nice wiring chassises, and I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks to save my eyes and fingers. Thank you!

Otherwise...

First I tried using small pieces of solder to connect the pots on the 3pdt switch together. It was a mess. Then I tried using tiny pieces of wire to connect the pots together. Similar results, but with more melted plastic. Then I said "F*** it", and paid $2-3 for the 3pdt footswitch pcbs from Amplified Parts and PedalPCB.com. I've tried wiring it, and now I REALLY feel stupid because it's all clearly labeled, except for which pot on the 3pdt-pcb "sw" connects to-- does it go to the "v+" pot? ...That's the only one that doesn't seem to go to anything.
I tried wiring the battery to the 3pdt first, then wiring the battery to the pedal pcb first, and neither seemed to work, but I also might have messed up the wiring somewhere else. I think I need an example to look at. I know the board itself works, I tested it and it sounds awesome. I'm excited to get it working.

When you say "pot" my mind automatically translates that to "potentiometer", which makes it difficult to follow what you're doing;
I believe you mean "pad", the small ringed holes on the PCBs that connect components with solder.

At the top of the PPCB-forum page, you'll see a link to "PedalPCB.com" with a small arrow "▼" beside it, click on the arrow and the drop-down menu reveals the link to the PedalPCB Wiki. (I could never find that Wiki when I first joined the forum unless somebody linked to it directly in a post, it should be more easily found). Hmmm, looks like the wiki needs some updating.


I'd recommend powering the main board directly from the DC jack, and remove the +/- wires from the 3PDT-board.

I'm not familiar with the Pedal Parts 3PDT daughter PCB, but use a DMM to test for continuity between the 3PDT-board's in/out pads and the jacks. Might be as simple as you have the in/out pads from the 3PDT board reversed, ie "IN" on the 3PDT board goes to "IN" on the PCB and same for "OUT" — rather than "IN" & "OUT" on the 3PDT meaning to & from the 3PDT.
Try swapping the yellow and green wires between the main board and 3PDT-board at the 3PDT.

You'll also want to connect the empty "V+" on the 3PDT board to the "SW" on the main board so your LED on the main board will work.
