5 knob Rat

LM301 chip, so far I have a 100 pF socketed in for the compensating cap, does anyone know what value would match the original for this chip? Haven't been able to test others yet

The lube mods (1K pots) are so far kind of subtle to me, but I need more time with this

It's 30pF for the LM308 chip, I tried it with this LM301 and can confirm it sounds more insane

Just finished a Rat for someone and gave them the choice of LM301, LM308, OP07, and TL071, all sourced from reliable vendors.

The first three are basically indistinguishable (unsurprisingly) and would absolutely be a tossup in a double-blind test, the TL071 slightly different but not so different that it no longer sounds very recognizably like a Rat.

He went with the 301, because at the end of the day magic isn't real and having the "mojo" chip inside wasn't worth the extra $10.

I deeply appreciate the use of old school dymo labels. Not only is it a trip down memory lane, but also makes me feel less bad ab being terrible with graphics and using it extensively myself
