Looking for some advice. I just finished an Abider and am having a few issues that may or may not be connected.
First, the LED stays on dimly when the pedal is bypassed, and it seems to be passing through the circuit instead of true bypassing it. My assumption there is something wrong with the switch, but I’m unsure of how that may keep the LED lit.
Secondly, the pedal is acting as a tone generator where all 4 knobs are effecting the pitch or volume of said tone. Could that be related to C26, or should I be looking to the transistors or op amps?
I went through and cleaned the boards with isopropyl alcohol after taking these photos, and mounted the pedal into the enclosure, and it is passing signal both on and bypassed. The controls appear to be working ‘correctly,’ but the tone generation still happens when I turn up the deep control, and I can make it go away by adjusting the gain and volume controls. The treble control is changing the pitch of the tone from the deep control.
Any advice on where to look is much appreciated as I am still learning troubleshooting.
