I recently stumbled across these too and it’s been life changing.
Unrelated to the color but I’ve been loving using my hot glue gun to gob piles of cut leads so they’re easier to throw away lol

About half of the leads are attracted to it, the others seem to follow out of peer pressure or some sort of lemming-like effect...

Did the first couple marble mounts with the black hot glue.
Very different from regular hot glue. It sets up pretty much instantly. which is kinda cool once you get use to it. Especially since my main gripe about the epoxy was that it would leak around the marble and become visible on the front of the pedal. sloppy. This pretty much eliminates that problem.
I certainly don't need1000X more strength for this purpose but it does lack the adhesive power of epoxy. It is much easier to pop a marble out of its setting which CAN be a good thing.
I'm digging it for now, especially since I'm still swapping out marbles and changing mounting strategies. Once I settle on something I might go back to epoxy.
