Had a customer ask a question i wasn't totally positive on.

Can you run the Akronym at 12v the way it is built?

My assumption would be no problems as long as it is center negative.

I wouldn't because there is a charge pump already. I didn't dig into the schematic really but I wouldn't.

That's exactly why my first instinct was no.

He is wanting more headroom out of the circuit.
Wasn't sure of the best modification to achieve this

You can but the TC1044 has an absolute maximum of 12V so if the power supply isn't regulated it'll likely end poorly.

If you want to do it safely swap the 1044 for an LT1054....
