All Tayda pre-drilled, powder coated enclosures out of stock

drill press setup inside a mortar mixing tub
parts washer tub here :) can confirm: catches just about everything.

IDK if it was the cold, but my formerly-trusty PLA drill template did not hold up during its last (and final) run. Would do PETG, but every time I think I have the settings dialed in it turns into a stringy mess that detaches from the build plate. Also thought about tapering the tops of the holes to match the angle of the punch I have. Maybe both.

The slick thing with straight holes would be to get a transfer punch the same diameter as your holes.

I've wondered if my prick punch is the right tool for the job. My local Ace didn't have a hammerless, and it looked like it would do the job.

Pretty much any punch should be up to the job of marking locations in aluminum, but if you're transferring locations from existing holes transfer punches are made to self center in specific diameters.

I’ve only used the drill service less than a handful of times and have bought predrilled less than that… I have an 8” harbor freight drill press set up in my garage with a set of drill bits that are the sizes needed for all holes… takes me all of 5 minutes to drill my holes in a powdercoated tayda enclosure.. I have the drill press setup inside a mortar mixing tub and it catches 99% of drill shavings… hit it with the shop vac every once in a while when I feel like cleaning up a bit 🤣
I have a similar set up.

The one thing I run into is scratches from the shards. Even vacuuming the enclosure without touching the surface and wrapped in painters tape, I still seem to scratch them.
