Anybody been selling gear lately?

Seems like things have slowed down considerably as far as things being listed. FB Marketplace is still popping off a little bit here, but Craigslist isn't getting much listed. I'm not sure if it's just a recent thing or it's been like that for a while and I only now noticed because I just put some stuff up for sale. I'm in kind of a dead zone out in the sticks between several different craigslist locations, so it's hard to judge. Indianapolis has a decent flow of stuff, but the smaller towns down south not so much. I wonder if this is a post pandemic thing or what. People were speculating that the used market prices would sort of readjust to prepandemic prices. I'm just not seeing a whole lot for sale period.

I’ve been looking for a few things for a while, and the market seems pretty dry. fretless Jazz necks are almost nowhere to be found, and even fairly cheap synths that used to oversaturate the market and had minimal resale value are going for almost as much as new

just sold my Ampero 2 stomp on reverb for $375 which was a little surprising. I generally don’t have an issue moving gear on reverb if it’s a commercial product. I do try to use fb marketplace first to avoid fees and that has definitely been slow. I have a SA Ventris and nemesis on fb now and I’m waiting another week before taking the hit and listing on reverb

I've got a bunch of stuff I keep putting off on unloading. I plan on taking the guitar collection down to the 3 Gibsons, my old Strat and my cheap Danelectro. Letting go of some basses and a couple of amps. At 50, I don't think I'm going to need all the gear I have anymore, haha. Just need to get my act together.

Why sell gear when you can sell something non-essential, like the refrigerator or stove! :sneaky:

Oh no, this is the age where we definitely need them all. 😁😁

I'm 67 and have no plans to off load any gear, in fact I'm still buying for my next band if I ever find one!

I have some gear to clear out. And some that I wish to buy. Sadly the first thing is much more of a hassle than the second.
