Anyone build a Z matcher for impedence matching amp to cab?

i was wondering if anyone has built a z matcher pedal/box that matches the impedance between amp head and cab. I have cab with a v30 16 ohm (that i like) but the 5e3 amp head output is 8 ohm.

It may be easier to buy 8Ohm speaker. You need a matching transformer, which will probably cost at least $200.
Or look for a used Weber Z-matcher.

I think that is probably an cheaper/simpler option. Odds of finding a used z matcher are slim.

True. I probably should have paid the extra for the upgraded output transformer with 3 windings.
