Combo Pedals - Do I just chain the output to the input of the second one?

Hi all, I have a couple combo build ideas, but my first is pretty straightforward: op amp and transistors big muffs, with two footswitches and a toggle to flip the order.

My intuition tells me I can just wire up the inputs and outputs to the order switch utility PCB and call it a day, but before I go nuts doing anything I wanted to make sure I knew how to do this "properly."

It seems like doing this might "waste" components in that there may be some duplication of buffer and power supply-related circuitry. Or does all input/output impedance matching still apply as if they were separate pedals?

Thanks!

Oh, and I'm calling it the "Double Stuff."

You could just use a switch without any pcb

You mentioned „waste“ so skip the pcb.
They are still seperate pedals just with another switch in between.
I wouldn’t worry about waste of components as long as you there are no redundant pots or expensive transistors.

exactly the information I needed!!! the pic is extremely helpful, I'll be saving that as well as the switching diagram.

I had already bought a couple of PCBs but moving forward I'll go with this method.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it!
