Anyone build the XC Phase yet?

I know it's new, but just wondering if anyone has built the XC Phase? The Phase 90 is my favourite pedal of all time and started me down the rabbit hole of effects. Just wanted to know how it compares to the original? Seems to do the same funtions as the Phase 95 mini with the Block/Script switch and the 2/4 stage switch. I have the Phase 95 on my board and I love it to death. Best $120 (Aussie dollars) I have spent.

I’ve built the XC Phase and I love it. Functionally, it’s like the phase 95. Sound wise… well… that kinda comes down to the builder, your choice of components, and where you bias the jfets. I went with a matched quad of 2n5952’s. After biasing by ear on the 4 stage script setting, I got it to sound like the whirlwind orange box I used to have. I also changed out the lfo opamp from a tl072 to a lm358. This helped lower the noise floor on the 4 stage block setting and also got rid of some slight lfo tick.

Awwwwwww that sounds absolutely amazing! Phasers are the best. From the light airy whooosh of the Phase 45 to the out there and over the top 8 and 10 stage phasing oh the Boss Phaser and Phase Shifter. It's a sound I can just mess around with all day. Thanks for making my day

You’re welcome! It’s honestly one of, if not the best, sounding phasers I’ve ever owned. Definitely worth the time and investment.
