Aphrodite 1044scpa vs 7662

I had read somewhere I don’t remember now where for sure or if I’m remembering right in swapping these to change c101 to 10u. Anyone confirm or not?

Copy yea I’ve read through that before. As you may recall I built a vero layout of this based on the schematic and was never happy with it. Loved the demo. Picked up the pcb in my last order to try it and see if the pcb makes any difference in my feeling about it. Realized I don’t have a 7662 other than the eBay one that had as hiss to it (I suspect it’s a relabeled 1044cpa). So I’ll just try dropping in the 1044 I suppose.

Appears to drop in just fine. Now it’s just down to diode selection. Leaning 34a’s like szulaski. The pcb also doesn’t have the feedback when gain and savage pot are maxed and the annoying sound I couldn’t quite ever manage to explain is not there that I couldn’t seem to figure out in the stripboard version.
