Back in the Saddle Again

I hope Steven Tyler rides horses and sings that every time he gets on one. He gives it that high squeal he does and rides like the wind.

That is not what this fella is all about but I am back and all about them pedals baby!! I took a step back and needed to recharge the batteries a bit and finish up an entire cluster of projects before I could start making videos again.

Do you want to hear and see the changes? Click here;

So many behind the scene changes, so many upgrades and so so many set backs over the last nine months. I went back through my phone and tried to remember as much of everything that happened over these months and detail it in that little video.

Of course I forgot stuff to include, like the new diy fume extractor for air brushing/clear coating and the tapering jig to build fancy schmancy pedal boards. Most of the footage that filmed during the down time is either lost (due to hard drive failure) or scrambled and over the next three weeks there will be the start of a few new series.

The first one is all about Answering Your Questions! Through the forums/emails/youtube and instagram, I get a bunch of questions that I thought would be great to break each question down in its own video. I plan on going through all of the questions and a bunch of my own silly questions.

The next one is all about showcasing the other builders on this forum, I have been blessed with a few things from @cooder @Big Monk @Fingolfen and think getting them as much exposure as possible is a good thing. Then maybe send them out on a tourbox for others to try.

The last one is called the white washer series, this goes back to all of my covid builds that are haunting the shelves and could use a little video build report and than a trip to the next person.

There is a bunch left to talk about and show off before I bow out and a few more silly ideas for all of us nutters.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who reached out and to those who helped from the sidelines.

Dan

“Back in the Saddle” featuring Gene Autry.
Ahhhhh.

When I was a wee lad, a number of moons ago, my great grandfather would play Gene Autry 8 tracks. Anybody remember the 8 track players?

This little one speaker boombox thing with gene autrys greatest hits on repeat……

I hated it, just thought it was the worst shit in the world. This was like ‘90/91, Guns n Roses was out and there was a Terminator and Ninja Turtles.

Gene Autry was unable to hold this kids attention at all.

As a forty year old man….still not tickling my fancy.

I always thought 8-track was a fun format. But yeah, can’t really say I care about Gene Autry, I just looked it up because I was curious 🤷‍♂️

Man, that time period makes Tone Lōc’s “Wild Thing” play in my head! We are the same age.

I was pointing out that my mind went to Gene Autry when I read the thread title…which then made no sense, what with you talking about Steven Tyler…

I loved the format and found a ton of cheap great music at garage sales.

Tone Loc, early MTV, sir mix a lot, no cell phones or pagers.

If you didn’t know, Steven Tyler fronted this band called Aerosmith, they made two good records and turned that into a fifty year career.

Sorry Aerosmith fans but Toys in the Attic and Rocks are it for me.

Tone Loc... There was a phase where a lot of neutral looking girls played guitars

But there was also another one. I thought it was Peter Gabriel Sledge Hammer but it wasn't :-(

Edit: sory for hijacking this thread :-)

Similar memory only it's an 8 track system in a late 70s winnebago and the tape was Julio Iglesias.

Woohoo, the dark knight of pedal demos rides again! So good to see and hear! You've done so much in the meantime and worked so hard on your sound and concept and all, I know! Give it heaps, have fun and no stress along the way because there's a lot of life happening all the time as well, we all know.
Such an asset to the forum and the pedal community!
Really looking forward to what you're coming up with my friend!

Never apologize for an appropriate hijack.

I am hoping to start learning more 90s hits for the channel. No reason Black Sabbath and Boyz 2 Men cant be in the same video.

Dang! You ever get taken back to that winnebago with certain smells?
