Beholder lag

I built a beholder a while back, and am now digging into it. I am getting a lag between string attack and sound response. Just enough to make playing difficult. None of the controls or trim pots change it, and its the same when its the only pedal in the chain.

Any ideas? Is it normal for this pedal?

If I crank the fuzz on mine it starts to do the gated fuzz thing. Is that what you’re talking about?

No, it’s not gated. It’s delayed. Like 1/4 to 1/2 a second behind the string attack. I’ll post a vid when I get home.

Yes. No controls change it. Even tried the bias pots.
