Big Muff Sekova, Minotaur Sonic Terrors Fuzz and Burn

Gonna learn vero-boarding just for these two circuits, but it would be rad to see them in pcb form! Also second the Dunwich GT120… basically anything Matamp related I’m really jonseing for. Also the Bahdad
by Does it Doom would be rad to see.

If you want to roll your own (or maybe already have these pedals), the fuzz and burn is an electra boost into a DAM Meathead (heavy) switchable to Meathead Dark (heavier)

I was most likely going to try the fuzz & burn as a point-to-point experiment.

DAM I didn’t know that! Actually I already own an F&B (and have an older busted-ass one that needs to be repaired). It’s probably my favorite fuzz, would be cool to see a more accessible circuit so more folks can partake in its sheer gnar. The Sekova is just out of pure selfishness, surprised there are no pcb variants of this version (maybe the coolest sounding Muff imo).

That would be sick! It’s definitely worth your time. I de-gooped the non-functioning one and it looks like a pretty simple circuit. I was a big-time noob at the time so I didn’t really know how to troubleshoot and fix it. Been sitting in a drawer for a minute, I’ll get around to it one of these days.

Here's also a sekova big muff variant/possible link to a pcb:

Yeah I’ve built the Arkaim, such a rad fuzz. Not impressed with the Fuzz War at all. I’ve owned AG and Hizumitas, love those pedals but sold them so I can DIY my own. They’re def on the build list. They’re right about the Fuzz & Butn… a lot of wiring going on, my broken one also had small cuts of vero on the pots themselves that were wired and jumped, I’d never seen that before and the vero layout doesn’t get into the wiring. That’s what screwed me up, I got it going a few times but then another thing would crap out on me. Anyway it’s a rad pedal if you ever get around to it. Def along the same lines as the DA120/Dopesmoker vibes and it’s got great sustain.

I’m pretty set on doing a Sekova and a Dope Priest. I bought a Muff pcb, one that had the options to do a ton a different variants, I thought maybe I could just swap the Sekova components for the usual Triangle components. I knew it was a long shot but I learned a lot in the process, obviously should’ve breadboarded it first but I thought I could pull it off. Haven’t got it working yet which is a bummer. Anyway my vero board just came in today so once my exams are done, I guess that will be my next obsession.

I’ll probably try this out on my next order of pcbs. Just built the Green Machine from Fuzzdog… which is Matamp flavored although I’m not sure what it’s based off of.

Anyone have any idea how to remedy this? Maybe I just have it biased wrong. But I’ve never seen a pedal cut off all noise like that into dead silence before. It feels weird, especially considering I’m playing heavy downtuned music through this thing that should be filthy with feedback.
For one, the way the Project Wish List forum is meant to be used is one thread per wish with as much information and videos as you can find to entice others to vote for it. If you want to troubleshoot your pedals, use the troubleshooting subforum.

Second, what exactly is the issue? It sounds great and is very silent, and you want... more noise? Why? It's possible you've misbiased it or something, or it could just be that it's more quiet than pedals you're used to, but right now it sounds great and there is no extra noise, that's the situation you usually aim for.

Do any of these requests ever get made into actual pedals btw?

#9 👈That's just the tip of the ICEBERG!

Oh, and the upvotes are for PPCB-Power-That-Be-Tracin' to gauge interest; for example, a Wish-project with only 2 upvotes recently was made into a PCB.
Some circuits may have lots of interest ie upvotes, but it's difficult to get hold of a unit to trace because of rarity of the unit itself, or it was built with now-unobtanium parts, or ... whatever — there are multitude reasons they don't get PCBs.

I hear what you’re saying, but it’s… not right. It’s pretty jarring actually, to have a pedal with that much gain and sustain go to dead silence. I aim for quiet pedals as well, but not like this, and it’s causing issues with how other pedals in the signal chain react. If you heard it you would totally understand. Sick pedal otherwise though! I keep fucking up the enclosure or I’d get it biased up and post it.

Sure, if it's causing issues with other pedals (and also if you're just overall unhappy with it) then by all means post a troubleshooting thread. You don't necessarily need to box it up before, but definitely do bias it first to see if that fixes the issue.

Here's the ptp:

Easy build, lots of room, sounds great.

Hey, I ran across this in my perusings: https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/pcb386/

The Viceroy is an improved version of EQD's Monarch, which is a loose approximation of an Orange amp. Not precisely Matamp, but pretty close, and if Chuck D. Bones has gone over it, you know it's a solid circuit.

Also very very interested in the Sorcerer distortion, but it's currently out of stock.

I built the Fuzzdog “Green Citrus” and it’s righteous! Definitely nails the Matamp/Sleep tones. Very cool circuit.

Yeah I saw the Viceroy/Monarch, def going on the build list. I remember hearing really good things about it. Who’s Chuck D. Bones and who do you know was/is involved with a given circuit?

Also bought an actual Matamp GT120 pcb from Hilbish, gonna try and build a Green Machine this summer.

That Wizard (Sorcerer) pedal looks rad! Catalinbread’s Sabbra Cadabra is a similar idea (Rangemaster —> Laney Supergroup). Built a clone from guitarpcb.com (Sabotage pcb)… I just dime every knob and it kills the Sabbath sound. That one sounds best on a really clean amp, and am kinda having issues with it playing week with other pedals. But it sure sounds rad on its own. Mine didn’t come out looking as cool as The Wizard though.

Dang just looked up the Sabotage pcb, also sold out. Bummer!
