I don't remember for certain if there was a DS-2 request but I'm all about this. I know it's the all discreet opamp circuitry and it would be so cool because no one else makes one.

I'm gonna say he started using it around 2000. Pretty unmistakable sound here, imo!

Could be. Earliest pics of it on his pedalboard are from 2001. He didn’t use it on maladroit— in an interview circa White, he said make believe is the first album it was on, and that it’s been on almost everything since. When I said “first started using it”, I meant in a studio capacity but worded it kinda confusingly. As far as 2004/2005 live, that is just when it was most prominent I think— early live versions of Perfect Situation are very DS-2 focused I think.
