I know exactly when I put this on my wishlist, because I mentioned it in @HamishR 's thread - HamishR Post

Took a year and a half to make it through the PCB lifecycle and turn into a pedal which is about my usual rate.

As promised, it's a really nice tubey ampy overdrive with lots of subtle control. I like it a lot.

I always forget about the slight interference between boards with this control layout (toggle in top center) and my preferred innie DC jacks. If I planned better, I'd just drill these for a lumberg. In this case I made a custom washer to space the jack out just a little.


I'm still getting used to a newer phone with a different camera focal length than my old one. In order to get a focused full frame pedal shot, I'd need to pull back for the right focus, then crop. Or zoom I guess?

Instead I just keep taking pics where the near-field is slightly blurry, and I don't notice until I post them. Oh well. Maybe I'll remember next time. As they say - Good enough for who it's for.

The trickiest part of close-up photography is depth of field. Sometimes the limited depth of field can work in your favour by making it clearer what bits are in the same plane. At other times it's annoying that you can't get everything sharp. And in these days of digital photography just stopping down to a smaller aperture works but can make any crud on the sensor a lot more obvious. And of course you most likely need a tripod.

I like the way you build pedals. Love the little plaque on the front! Super clean wiring too.

I bet I can get a better shot out of this phone with a little effort, it was just something that worked well with the ancient iPhone 6 I was using up until recently and I never had to think about it much.

I tried a snap on fisheye lens while I was taking those pics, but that didn’t make a lot of sense.



There are a few members here who take really professional well lit product shots of their pedals. Sometimes the pics are as impressive to me as the builds.

Ha! I was a professional photographer for 30 years and I can't be bothered setting anything up to photograph pedals! Spent too many hours in the studio shooting wine bottles then retouching the crap out of them. Wine bottles have so many flaws which all show up in the photo. iPhone for the win!

It does! I’m a little surprised it didn’t get more traction here, although it wasn’t linked to any viral marketing, deceptive ad copy, or price gouging controversy. Hard to compete when all the pedal has going for it is that it sounds good.
