C150k v C200k

Hey everyone, I'm building a Duellist clone from Aion FX and it calls for a c150k pot for the bluesbreaker channel gain control, but I only have a c200k pot.

What effect would changing this value have on the circuit? Curious to know the more technical details too if anyone knows! Always wanted to know how gain circuits actually work.

That's an unusual value. The stock Bluesbreaker used (I think) a B100K. A C150K would potentially give you slightly more gain and a C200K more again. The gain will come on more quickly too - I guess in answer to the response of a Bluesbreaker's gain pot where most of the dirt starts at or past noon. C200K should be fine in this case - you'll barely notice the difference.
