If you are lucky enough to live in the U.S.A, these are readily available from Stompbox Parts.
I refuse to deal with them as their minimum shipping rate is around $45.00 US to Australia.
I found a company in Australia that I purchase from & emergency's had 29 in stock listed as Alpha 20K Reverse Audio.
I sent them a message to Pedal Parts Australia asking if they could measure a couple that were 22K to 23K & that would be close enough.
They measured all 29 & I ended up with 3 that fell into that measurement & 3 over 21k, would Stompbox be bothered to do that.

@StompBoxParts I don't care what anyone says, I still love you baby

I have asked Hugo@Tayda to see if he can find stock as that's the only affordable way for Members in the Australasia region to get these!
I purchased over $100.00 dollars worth of Knobs from Love My Switches recently & they don't stock C25K Reverse Audio pots either.
Stompbox $45.00 USD = $67.00 AU so that's a Fuckin" joke!!!

They are the only Vendor that told me the prefer to ship in the USA only or pay a Premium!!!
Many countries have import fees, forms and policies that are frustrating, complex and expensive. There are a lot of companies that won't ship out of their geographic region. I needed a replacement part for an amp repair and the only place I could find it was in Germany and they said they don't ship outside Europe, I didn't go online and call them Nazis. Not everyone goes online to talk trash about those companies like this. First world problems:rolleyes:

Correct. Have had mixed results sending internationally with the cheaper national carriers. Works fine >95% of the time but that <5% of the time has big delays, confusion, duties/tax, and end up being weeks/month long headaches for us and receiver. Everyone is willing to accept the risk at a lower price until their order doesn't show up. Questioned if it was worth it for our customers and our two person team and we decided it is NOT worth it. Anything outside USA or Canada requires buyer to choose UPS or FedEx, which are pricey, but very reliable.

We realize our store isn't for everyone factoring all that in, and we accept that. For those outside the USA that understand that and trust us, thanks!

I'm coming close to losing my cool with UPS, to be honest.

Once again, we shipped a relatively high value order to Canada, customer was greeted with surprise duties / brokerage fees and refused the shipment...

UPS gave three options:
  • Pay $40 return shipping (which is odd considering it only cost $16 to ship it)
  • Pay the fees for the customer
  • Have them destroy the package for a surcharge...
And of course, a full refund will be expected since the shipment was returned.

Regardless of the choice this order will be a $50 - 60 loss.

What happens if you just don't respond?

They decide. Knowing UPS, they probably tack on a "decision making" surcharge. :ROFLMAO:

If no information or instructions are provided within 05 business days of this message, your shipment may be returned to you or disposed of following UPS’s Tariff/Terms & Conditions of Carriage/Service without further notice. Any charges associated with returning or disposing of the shipment, including transportation and any applicable duties, taxes, and UPS fees, will be charged to the shipper’s UPS account.

Also, when I asked why return shipping was almost 3x the original shipping cost:

That is just an estimated return cost it could be less or more and there may be other fees that may or may not apply but it is beyond our control, you can abandon it if you want, let me know.

So, $40 is just an estimate, it could be more. I highly doubt it will be less.

With that said, I don't believe UPS has ever lost a shipment and the transit time estimates are usually fairly accurate.

We should probably have a few beers and share our shipping war stories.

How many of the Members in the U.S.A have repeatedly complained about Tayda & their $10.00 fixed price disappeared & how much it costs to use DHL???
Without Tayda, no one in Australia, New Zealand & surrounding Countries could afford to build Pedals at all!!!
I just recieved 6 -125b enclosures, 30 Pots, Diodes, jrc4558d's, Machined sockets, Enclosed mono jacks ect ect, $12.50 USD, DHL 2 to 3 Days.
We finally get a Win in this shipping war!

It depends on the size of the order.

Not going to lie, that's an amazing deal on shipping whichever method is chosen. Nonetheless, I have never seen a label available on our end for that low and we're not able to take $20-50 hits on a shipping label. Heck, domestic USA rates for us aren't even that low and I think our domestic rates are pretty good! Probably a lot to do with currency conversion, shipping volume, local labor wages. I've been in talks with DHL for a few weeks to eventually offer them as an option at yet another attempt to reduce shipping costs to our international customers. Everything international takes significantly more time, effort, expense versus domestic, which is fine as long as we still have the time for it.

Does anyone else get a duty paid option from Tayda or just me? Probably canada specific because our taxation on imports is anything above 20 dollars whereas the US is 800 😂
