Cracklejack is silent

Hey y’all!

So I had a friend come over and try their first pedal project (Cracklejack booster) and its dead silent when clicked on. The true bypass works

All the solders look good, nothings grounding out, continuity between all wires is good.

I already tried swapping the transistor and volume pot.

One thing that did happen, was the upper-left leg of the 3DPDT switch got so hot during the build that it shifted. I’m pretty sure that’s the IN off the board so maybe that’s the issue? That something was broken during that?

as you can see by the photos, we bent the legs of the pots so we could put everything in the enclosure. It was this way because the knob layout they chose. Nothings making contact with the back of the pots, and the legs were bent cleanly.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Clip the legs of the components so they are not as long. Post a picture of the component side please. You will need to remove the board for that, with the board out of the box, see if it works. Also when its out of the box, clean the board with alcohol and a toothbrush to remove the flux residue. If you have jumpers with alligator clips on the ends, you can click the pedal on with the jumper between the in lug that shifted and the middle lug below it and see if the pedal works that way.
