I built the Dark rift delay a couple of weeks ago, and so far I’ve been able to troubleshoot most issues on my own, except for two.
1. I am not able to turn the Mix knob up, otherwise I get a loud hissing/feedback oscillating “screech”. I can turn it maybe 1cm then the rest of the knobs will work. Also, the tone knob on my bass must be turn down to about three otherwise the noise gets louder and more abrasive.
2. I get a loud humming humming sound when off, which I’ve read could be a grounding issue. I’ve traced all my lines and nothing seems to be grounding out. The only possible thing I see is that the Pcb fits very tightly in the enclosure and is touching the sides. Would that be causing the grounding issue?
also, before anyone mentions it, the power is wired that way because it’s too big to fit in the enclosure. I’ll be drilling a bigger hole soon. The enclosure is one of the predrilled ones from Tayda.
