Delay, Reverb, Chorus all in one box

Hi all. I've built the VHS and love it, but was wondering if there is any PCB out there (or chip that can be programmed) to be able to do a Delay, Reverb and Chorus all in one pedal.
IF not, what are the smallest PCB footprints that I could either wire together in either a 1590bb or 1590dd if needed.

Thanks everyone!

I’ve ordered one of these from Barry:
Haven’t built it yet but it does delay, reverb, and chorus in one box (if that’s what you’re after).

The VHS uses one Fv-1 chip for reverb and chorus. You couldn’t really do all three in one fv-1, mainly because the fv-1 only allows 3 knob inputs.

The smallest/cheapest would probably be the VHS pcb and a separate delay pcb (take your pic, pt2399 or fb-1 based). The VHS toggles for selecting effects could be changes to footswitches.

The most robust but largest would be to select your favorite pcb of each effect and put them all in a 1590DD (I think it could fit but it may be tight depending which pcbs you get.

One at a time or a multi effect?
For one at a time you could use fv-1 eeprom builder and pick out up to 8
Ah, this could be perfect. So it shows here I can pick up to 8 programs. Since Pythagoras only has 3 effects, I assume I would pick Program 0, 1 and 2 as they are the first 3. And for anyone familiar with Pythagoras, can I have them on/off as needed (all on, all off, or 1/2 on at a time?).

Thank you again

Pythagorus and arachnid are the same, except arachnid allows up to 8 patches on a rotary switch.

You can’t partially select patches, you’re on one patch at a time.

The VHS uses 4 separate patches for no reverb/or chorus, reverb only, chorus only, reverb plus chorus. Basically, the code is adjusted within each patch to remove chorus or reverb.

You could maybe get away with only 1 fv-1 input for delay circuit (time) and mix and feedback pot in the hardware circuit. This approach would be a lot of code and pcb design. And use up to 8 patches for all the combinations of effects.

So the above would be possible with a single fv-1, but it’s a lot of design and coding. My vote would still be VHS plus a delay pcb.

If you’re going to be using them all together you could also consider a delay with modulation, which can get you into chorus territory. Then add a reverb.

If you want multi effects, madbean had some 1590G(?) projects. If you find some you want, then ask around the madbean forum.
The degenerator is/was a nice pt2399 delay. Not sure if it was ever a baby board

As has already been noted by others, the FV-1 projects can only do 1 algorithm at a time, HOWEVER, it has only been alluded to or hinted at or mentioned in passing that an FV-1 can, in fact do a couple of effects within one patch (algorithm).

For the most bang for your buck in the most compact format without resorting to programming in Daisy-Terrarium territory...

GET TWO ARACHNIDS
You'll have 8 patches in each PCB — stuff both PCBs into a 1590XX (1590DD is just too big, IMO, for your intended usage/needs.
PLUS You can mod EACH PCB to have the STOCK FV-1 ALGOS available to you, a total of 16 patches for each PCB that you can mix and match to your needs.

FV-1 Internal Patches . . . . stock algos

Note there are already three of the effects you seek up there, albeit the chorus is paired with a reverb and the delay with a pitch shifter (but you could turn down the pitch knob), but beyond that you'd also have the EEPROM and your other PCB could/would engage the power of its EEPROM, which brings us to...

FROM THE EEPROM BUILDER, select the patches/algorithms you want (ignore the MODULE8 and OCTAGON as well as SPATIALIST markings, those are my notes for specific preloaded EEPROMS, you're going for algos-a-la-carte) — I'm only including chorus, reverbs, and delays below, there are many more algos besides these that might catch your fancy:

DLY005 — Space Delay
DLY006 — Kaleidoscope ✳️

UNI001 — Unison Dual Detune
UNI002 — Unison Modulated
UNI003 — Unison Double Take

Of the above, Unison is super-short delays for doubling effects so I included them as well.

More notes on the above:
Hypernova = Modulated Reverb
Glimmer = Shimmer

Kaleidoscope = Daydream Delay — Robert's own special algo (as opposed to Space Delay)
“Digital Delay" algorithm for the Arachnid is probably the cleanest. It's just pure delay with no filtering. The Hydra has a bit of filtering and modulation.

BEYOND THOSE ABOVE, you can order patches from MAS EFFECTS, or even find a programmer to write you up something custom (if you're not a programmer yourself, and if you are, then you should look at the Terrarium after all.)

C R D related algos from MAS (forgive the formatting, it gets lost when pasting from my notes to the forum).

⭐️Oil can delay Time & rate Chorus width Feedback
Choir Saw (A delay with pitch shift in the feedback path. Kind of a discount EQD Rainbow Machine. It is a delay with pitch shifting and tremolo. The result is something pretty unique and also musically interesting. The top knob P0 sets the delay time from long to short (about 800ms to a few ms). It also cross-fades into the pitch-shift as it is turned up. So, when the delay gets shorter more pitch shift is available in the feedback path. This gets really interesting when you set the delay to slow, feedback high and trem fast. Try it!)
