Distortion 250 schematic noob questions

I'm planning on building the distortion 250 ppcb board but I want to use specs from the Effects Layouts drivestortion list. I'm still not great a reading a schematic so I could use some help comparing that one to the PPCB one.

First attachment is the PPCB schematic. And the second is the Effects Layouts.

Am I correct with saying the
PPCB R1 is EL R2
PPCB R2 Is EL R1
PPCB R3 is EL R6
PPCB R4 is EL R8
PPCB R5,R6,R7 is EL is R3,R4,R5

Also, which is the pull down resistor? Aion has a 2M2 RPD on their board. Do neither the PPCB nor EL have that?

PPCB and EL C1 and C2 same.
PPCB C3 is EL C5
PPCB C4 is EL C3
PPCB C5 is EL C8
PPCB C6 is EL C7
PPCB C7 is EL C4

EL then has a 15pf for C6 but is omitted on most.

I'm still trying to understand the flow of the different schematics from all 3.

I appreciate any insight or information.

Thinking of the Square Wave

Change
C1 to 1.5N
put a 15pf piggyback on R2 (I doubt this changes anything though)
R3 to 5.6K (this won't really change sound)
C5 to 1.5N
use germanium diodes for D1/D2
use C500K for gain pot and A10K for level (you could use A100K for level just fine too)

There's no pull down on the PPCB board.

Demon FX Overdrive Preamp. I bought one like one year ago and it's great.
